QUANTUM POLARITONICS LABORATORY · ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY
Programmable
quantum polaritonics
on a chip.
Our group brings together quantum materials, structured light and computational design to study room-temperature polaritonic systems for photonic and quantum information technologies.

RESEARCH PROGRAM
Four complementary research areas
Our research connects tunable polariton interactions with integrated devices for nonlinear and quantum photonics.

Quantum materials
We investigate the optical and electronic properties of emerging quantum materials, including moiré heterostructures that host moiré excitons.

Exciton–polaritons
We couple excitons to optical microcavities to study spin selectivity, electrical control and emergent polariton properties. Our work aims to reach the few-quantum regime.

Topological nanophotonics
We use the photonic component of polaritons to enhance interactions, guide optical states and integrate polaritonic elements on a chip.

AI for polaritonics
We combine physics-informed machine learning, inverse design and closed-loop optimization to design and refine polaritonic lattices. Our work ranges from selecting materials and cavities to designing integrated devices.
We welcome students and early-career researchers trained in physics, photonics, semiconductor devices, materials science and related fields. In the group, we study light–matter interactions and work toward new photonic and quantum devices on a chip.
